Bio
As a native Floridian, born in the architecturally rich city of Miami, Dirk Arace grew up surrounded by the details reflected in the historically and culturally significant buildings of South Florida. While attending the College of Architecture at the University of Florida for both his undergraduate and graduate education, he focused his studies on detail, oriented, architectural principles and structures. He also studied at the Vicenza Institute of Architecture in Italy which is part of his artistic, classical and historical background. Dirk’s well-rounded education, travels, and life experiences enable him to design with a variety of styles and techniques which, in turn, enhances his personalized, client-centered approach.
As a member of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD), Dirk specializes in custom residential design. From conceptual design, cost estimating, structural engineering, to active engagement during the construction process, he understands how structures are actually built in the field and the cost related to each element of the building process. Dirk is always balancing aesthetic, structure and economics throughout the entire design process.
For the past 20 years, Dirk has designed a range of projects – from simple garage additions to multi-million dollar estates. His knowledge and design talents has enabled lasting professional relationships with clients, along with the finest custom home builders, interior designers, landscape designers and other professionals in the building industry.
